AC Transit proposes splitting Line 51 at the Rockridge BART station

September 2, 2009: AC Transit conducting community workshops & public meetings, Sept. 8- Sept. 30

Dear Community Partner:

I hope you will find the following information about upcoming AC Transit community workshops useful.  The workshops are designed to provide information and gather input about proposed service changes that our Board of Directors will consider at public hearings later in September.

A complete list of changes proposed in the 2009 Service Adjustments Plan has been posted to the AC Transit Web site www.actransit.org as well as background information including information about AC Transit budget reductions and the process we are undertaking to accomplish these service cuts.  A hard copy of this letter along with a printed brochure detailing the changes will be sent to all community organizations on our mailing list.  Printed brochures detailing the proposed changes will be available at the community workshops and on buses in early September. You may also request a brochure by calling 511 (and saying, "AC Transit").

AC Transit is working to reach as many riders as possible in order to maximize attendance at the community workshops.  To make that happen, I am requesting some assistance from you.  You can help by including this information in your online and print publications, community calendars and other mailings.  AC Transit staff wants to talk with and hear suggestions from as many riders as possible.
